Protected: The Beautiful Earth Manifesto – Part 1

A Manifesto To My Heart Tribe (Writers, Wildcrafters, Scientists, Entrepreneurs, Indigos & Spiritual Thought Leaders) I imagine… A place, a tribe of wise and alive soul-crafters. We have traveled far and wide, and exhibit traits of spiritual maturity. We are informed and enlivened by the richness of culture we have absorbed from childhood, or rather touched by later in life. There is depth to us. Thus, there is an innate impulse to look within, ponder our life and call upon our intuitive hearts to guide us. We have traversed the great unknown with a trail-blazer’s courage as our loyal compass (taking risks are not foreign to us). We have cast away the useless cloth of materialism and the allure of flashy objects & prestige that define success in society. Likely not entirely, but we are not tempted and swayed by it. We have traded out the “quick & easy” gratification schemes and academic endeavors for our promised future, for something less defined by a linear scale of hierarchy and security in society. This path is in fact hard won and fueled by our driven nature and sensitivity to protect this sacred earth we call home. The lick of life’s passionate flame has touched us too deep to the core, to ignore. We already have had a taste of the rare and wild freedom, too few know of and care to fight for. Few willingly, at least to bear the discomforts. We long for this freedom and a new way of life. We know it is possible and exists, because it tugs at our very being and is an Earth-calling rhythm that guides us through her cycles. (It is that sensitive tug to know thyself ~ the true nature within ~ and your purpose to revive what’s pure, good, and true to you). We, as a community are meant to come together. To gather, to serve our mission, to bond in loyal friendship and care for one another as a strong family of kindred spirits. We have an interdependent core. This foundation sustains us. We wish to know our true art, our skill, our craft and master that gift which has long been buried. The treasure of the human spirit which comes alive to serve this wild and sacred ground. This Beautiful Earth. This is a tale of true ties, and intimacy forged within a well-revered and respectful brother & sisterhood. We pay homage to equanimity and virtuous qualities (i.e. honesty, humility, purity & kindness) – for all of life and it’s honorable place here on earth. We trek against the grain of restrictive constructs or outdated roles laid upon a conditioned society. We see the beauty, in our naked and true connection with the land and our community as a reflection of ourselves (especially through an image of love: self-respect and cultivating compassion). We are in touch with our vulnerabilities as the source to deeper love and strength. It is the bridge to true relating, authenticity and individual growth. We move through the trials as a personal tribute to move through the fear, hardships and fruits of our labor together. This transparency binds us and holds us in sacred trust within a nurturing community. One that must be cultivated, kept alive & well-rooted.. as the Tree of Life (The Foundation To The Preservation of The Beautiful Earth & The Pillars of Life). Yoga for Prayer & Presence

[Yoga is a practical tool for arriving to the present moment] Yoga, an ancient but perfect science, deals with the evolution of humanity. This evolution includes all aspects of one’s being, from bodily health to self realization. Yoga means union – the union of body with consciousness and consciousness with the soul. Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day to day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions. B.K.S. Iyengar  ...

What is a True Food?

What is a True Food?

What is a True Food; What does it mean for your life’s work and can it take away your pain? True health doesn’t happen over night, First of all we need to identify and understand what that means for each of us. This process is guided in the light of our core values i.e. what we hope to achieve! Hi, this is Nicole, I am here to speak with you as an ambassador of tree-to-bar chocolate from West Africa & Central America. I am a world citizen, a published scientist for endangered species conservation, and a Buddhist practitioner with Catholic roots. From 2010-2012, I dabbled in medical school and completed my 200 hr certification to become a yoga instructor in Portland, Oregon. In a nutshell you could call me… a Health & Chocolate Ambassador or a Holistic Life Coach. Yet, the title matters less to me than the soul essence and love that pours through my work. Presently, When it comes to health and healing I find myself returning to the specialty known as pain care relief via Nutrition, Psychology & Eastern Movement Practices (see my painbody/shadow work story – coming soon – for more details). Specifically, I am striving to merge the gap between the effective practices of Eastern and Western Medicine. To me alternative medicine is vague and at the heart of it there is no alternative, if what we search for is simply a medicine that works! Note: If you really think about it.. we are either healthy, imbalanced (not sick, but not vibrant) or ill in the thick of disease and illness. There are many misconceptions on matters that relate to health e.g. natural medicine, foods, diet, exercise regimen, sustainability and ethical practices. I believe we need to get down to the core of what is truly essential about food for us. The ultimate purpose of a true food serves so much more than fueling our body. Assimilating nutrients in order to transform it into bio-available energy < effectively > will thus translate into a vibrant, energetic, strong, growing and able being. I think most of us can agree that what we are looking for is a sense of well-being and the truth behind real and honest food – is the reality behind that which serves our life values. At the core of that, I believe we all intend to cultivate a greater awareness: one that intimately understands and cares for our mind, body, vital life force and spiritual journey on this earth. I would like to invite you to join me in this experience, wherever you are, in life or location. I believe we hunger for love, appreciation and fulfillment through personal connection and deeper relating, just as much as we search for the truth, hard facts, knowledge, a.k.a. the physical meat of things. (Email: truenaturebe@gmail.com, to join the community ~ I’ll be in touch right away!)                  Go on, explore and savor the journey to a re-vitalized life:                                 “Awaken the Healer Within.” ~ Nicole L. Varga, Health & Chocolate Ambassador These are matters of the heart that are as REAL and true as they come. Likewise, they are an essential and intricate part of the energetic body of wellness that I will be addressing throughout my blog posts. Additionally, I will be referring to evidence-based medicine with credible and scientific sources founded upon relevant time-tested experiences and studies. Sources of Experience & Authentic Mastery: In particular, I have been following the work of Dr. Andrew Weil (on Integrative Medicine), Lila Rodriguez & Seane Corn (Yoga), Dr. Laurie Regan & Brandt Stickley L.Ac. of NCNM (Chinese Medicine), Dr. Laura Washington (Naturopathy), Adam Sewell & NMDR SmileManjushri.org (for Tai Chi/QiGong) and Dr. Alan Wallace & Anodea Judith, Ph.D. (on Spirituality, Energy and Emotional Balance)… last but not least for a pure source of amazing healing chocolate visit: Alegio Chocolate(West Africa), EndorfinFoods (South America), and BuenAventura (Costa Rica)                ...

Fear can hold us back: 5 ways to unlock your True Nature

“Let go into freedom. Break away and soar with new wings.” – N.L. Varga Aren’t you tired? Tired of torturing yourself? Wishing you were better, bolder, stronger, wilder and braver in spirit. How many times do we allow our fears to hold us back? The fear which cages us, is really what keeps us from trusting in ourselves. Especially, from moving forward and taking the courage to leap into the great unknown. Sometimes this means exposing ourselves by taking a deep, honest look at love, life desires, career, and health. It ain’t easy, to say the least. So no wonder we hold back. We need to stop moving all the time, day to day and get to the heart of the matter. Why are we moving anyways? To Where & Why ? For so many of us, this essential part is skipped. What’s that? Reflection. That’s right. To really know our true nature our true selves we must look deeply at our wounds, our limitations, as well as our strengths. But rather than complicate it with family issues or personal trauma (whether physical or emotional). Why don’t we simply take some time in the present to unlock the person we are now. Just for this moment, with no judgement find a bit of satisfaction in your breath, your able body and beautiful mind. It can be so refreshing. Here are 5 ways to begin: 1. Find a place to Let Go – Setting aside time not only for intentions but for intentionally dedicating a time and place to spend with you is so essential to unlock your True Nature, it’s like air for our lungs or that soothing massage for our body. However in order to begin, we need to have a place to take ourselves truly to heart. In all seriousness and lightness, we’ve got work to do and this time the serious business is a serious relaxation for the body and mind to get in touch with ourselves. The first step to reflection is finding a safe-haven to come home to and a reflection space to open up in. Be gentle and choose wisely. Be sure there won’t be any interruptions and take your time to bring some elements of nature into your personal ambiance. Remember this is a place to nurture the spirit. 2. Set your intention – Warm up and then cool down into stillness. First things first listen to what your body needs. You can begin by sitting straight away on a comfortable cushion and begin a meditation practice. However, many of us could use a bit of motivation, clear some air and write some words down in a journal. Whatever first comes to mind or perhaps a purpose on what you hope to clear-up with yourself at this time. Sometimes it’s even best to set aside a note that you will let whatever circumstances in your life be and give yourself the space to take a break from it all. By giving yourself permission to not have an agenda but rather to develop virtues, values, habits or a closer connection to self. We can begin to appreciate the simple things and then our intention can be as simple as breathing, listening to our heart, and being receptive to our soul (our creative essence). 3. Draw or inspire yourself with a quote to live by – this is meant to awaken your senses.. sometimes after so much outside stimulation from the day to day buzz of living it can be so nice to simply come home with a practice that touches your heart. For some this is music, a picture of a loved one, or inspiring photo and view which captures the fragility of life. Before we take a dive into stillness.. take a look at something deeper that matters to you. This will naturally begin the process of reflection. (with familiar objects, song or photos we begin to reminisce on the past ~simply notice this ~ what emotions does this bring up ~ what feelings ~ what hopes? :::: And then with the...
